Wolseley Parade
While the owner of this charming Kensington cottage adored her original home, it was dark, dated and in need of repair.
Our team transformed the space over 9 months with a detailed renovation and rear extension. One of the key challenges of this project was a neighbouring double storey, which was compromising privacy and limiting use of the owner’s backyard. This was overcome with a unique vertical extension of the timber deck, wrapping up and over the boundary fence.
An old 1970’s sunroom was removed and replaced with a rear extension, providing the perfect private oasis. Enhanced natural light, better access to the landscaped gardens and elevated natural finishes characterise this new space, which is still small but significantly smarter. The owner loves her new home so much, she has lovingly named it ‘Kensington Palace’.
